Holiday Time in Zurich

There are so many fantastic holiday events and traditions here it is amazing. Unfortunately, we didn't get to participate in many since we headed back to California and Utah for Christmas, but there is always this year!

This is the Swarovski Christmas tree in the middle of the Hauptbahnhoff (main train station). They had a Christmas market surrounding it.

This is the view I had on my way to the Lindt chocolate factory where I bought most of my Christmas presents. It was so clear this day. Usually not like this in the winter time.

A couple of nights before we left for the US we hopped on a tram and headed to the Bahnhoffstrasse to see the pretty lights and decorations. This is Paradeplatz. The entire Bahnhoffstrasse is decorated with these twinkle lights that hang down from above the street. Gorgeous!

Chris and Chopper. It was cold, but she didn't seem to mind. She was so good and loves to ride in the trams and buses. A older Swiss man decided to come talk and pet her on the tram. She didn't quite enjoy that and started growling at him so he gave her a good whack on the nose. Yeah, like she knows Swiss German... Chopper and I were both stunned.

There were so many holiday activities and events that we missed because we left so early in the month and Chris was so busy with work. So is anybody up for Christmas in Switzerland 2011?
